OUR STORY...

Kitchen Couture was conceptualized by team mother and daughter Dalyne Easley & Michele Fox. 

The idea started when Michele was out shopping in a local boutique for a birthday gift for her girlfriend.  It was then that she came across an exquisite apron and, of course, just had to have it (despite the pricey sales tag and the anticipated unpleasant reaction from her husband!).  When she told her mother about her costly investment Dalyne just could not believe that something so traditional should cost so much money.  It was not until a visit to Orange County that Dalyne realized why her daughter was compelled to buy this apron.  It was certainly no ordinary apron but rather a refreshing change to a style typically standardized by tradition.  While happy with her purchase, Michele insisted that her mother try experimenting with fabric and apron patterns to see if she could come up with something even better for less.  Intrigued by her daughter’s words of encouragement, Dalyne returned to Las Vegas and began to try out sewing apron patterns of her own.  Given her 35 years of experience as a seamstress and her daughter's fashionable advice, Dalyne essentially began designing her own patterns and creating new styles and collections.  Eventually her small time hobby became a daily obsession as team mother & daughter decided to embark on a mission to create a distinctive line of elegant, fun and flashy aprons that cater to a variety of fashion-savvy shoppers.  Their fashionable kitchen attire quickly became a hit among local housewives and the word soon began to spread about these sensational aprons!  With a few sales under their belt, Michele and Dalyne decided to embark on their own business venture. 

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

In November 2008 Kitchen Couture was born and the rest is history.  The mother-daughter duo continued on their journey to create refined, modern, and sexy kitchen accessories throughout 2008 and 2009. In late 2009, due to the ovewheming growth and success of the company, a joint decision was made to establish Kitchen Couture as a full time business based out of Ladera Ranch, CA.  Michele shifted her attention to designing new collections and expanding on the initial success of Kitchen, while Dalyne focused her attention on the retro-style aprons previously offered to customers through our 'Joyce's Jazzy Bistro' collection.  She is presently working on a collection of exquisite table runners and napkins to compliment the vintage apron designs and has opened up a sister shop to Kitchen Couture in Las Vegas, NV called "Sew Divine." 

Both Dalyne and Michele still work in conjunction with the businesses with the root of all development centered at Kitchen Couture.  In early 2010, Kitchen Couture expanded to include a fully staffed marketing department and seamstress.  We are thrilled for what is in store for Kitchen Couture and Sew Divine in the near future.  Be sure to check back in with us to see what we are adding and were you can look to find us at  boutique near you!
